ExplorOcean is recruiting participants for the 2015 – 2016 launch of our new Coastal Commission supported program: Help Heal our Ocean: Student Operated Solutions! (H2O SOS). This program teaches students about a variety of ocean threats and solutions, provides stewardship opportunities, and culminates with students developing campaigns to raise awareness of a specific ocean issue.
Educators working with students in grades 6 – 12 are invited to apply to participate. The program may be implemented during school or after school as a club. All materials for the program are provided at NO COST to schools who are accepted into the program. The program includes a free field trip to ExplorOcean and opportunities to showcase student work at ExplorOcean’s World Ocean Day event in June. Priority is given to schools in Orange County, CA, however any school is eligible to participate as long as they commit to attending our culminating event (details will be provided upon acceptance into the program).
